How i got my hair from black to blonde-NO BLEACHING!!

i naturally have dark blonde/light brown hair but at the age of 14 i decided to start dying my hair. i have been all sorts of colours from different shades of brown, red, purple you name it and I've had it lol.

but then about a year ago i made a STUPID decision and dyed it black!! not that theres anything wrong with black it just didn't suit me and i knew it would be a nightmare to remove as it was permanent (infact all my colours were permanent, i soooo wish i had used semi's but silly me)

I didn't want to bleach as i know that can do some amount of damage to your hair. so here's what i done....

I bought Scott Cornwall’s colour B4. this come in two different strengths (regular £9.99 and extra strength£11.99) the regular one would be good if you had only dyed your hair once or maybe 2 at the most but since i had ALOT of colour build up i got extra strength.
this is the extra strength one (silver), the regular is in a pink box.

What it does: Colour B4 shrinks the artificial dye molecules in the hair, enabling you to simply wash them away. What’s more Colour B4 does not touch your natural hair pigment so you are left with the colour which lay beneath your artificial shade. Colour B4 takes you back to your lightest shade. It will return your hair to its natural colour if the artificial hair colour applied is darker than your natural level.

I had to go through about 4 of these before i got it as light as i wanted but my hair had a brassy tinge to it so i the got...
John Frieda Toning shampoo
This took most of the brassiness away... enough to put another hair dye over it without it looking silly. i used nice'n'easy and used the toning shampoo every day until it was empty.

After all this, my hair was all damaged and frizzy at the ends so i had to get a good conditioner. I decided to buy aussie's 3 minute miracle-take the heat. This worked wonders on my frazzled hair and not only did it sort out my hair it protected it from heat as well which was the last thing my hair needed, even more burnt

I love my new hair colour now and NEVER again will i make the  mistake of dying it black lol. and i also stick with semi-permanents now as they are less damaging to your hair :)

Simple Moisturising face mask

I have been using this homemade mask for a good few weeks now and my skin is much much smoother. It was my gran that told me to try it after having enough of me complaining about my dry skin so thank you Gran!! i now have skin as smooth as a baby's bum lol :)

well this couldn't be a simpler recipe. all you need is....

one Ripe banana (i know right? i was like 'Gran, are you serious???)

1) Mash down one whole ripe banana into a bowl using a fork.
2) spread it all over your face and wait 10-15 minutes
3) rinse off thoroughly with warm water

This works wonders for dry skin :)

Meet my little Babies :)

Okay so i know this has nothing to do with beauty but i would like you to meet my two lovelies... Garry & lily :)

Aren't they just soooo cute?? they are like the best of friends!! Garry is the gorgeous tabby and lily is the beautifully black one. i have had the pair of them from kittens.

Garry is older by a couple of months, my mum bought me him for my birthday and he is the most cuddly cat ever!!... he snuggles into my neck and wraps himself up with my hair.. How cute lol.

Lily wasn't exactly planned as me and my little sister were walking to the shops we seen a man going to through a bag over a bridge. we heard 'meowing' and took the bag from him and managed to get them all re-homed and that's where lily came from. she came out of her shell fairly quick and Garry was great with her.

They are now joined at the hip and wont leave each others side. Oh and there will be no pitter patter of tiny paws as i got them neutered so there personalities don't change... I love them to bits

Mini elf haul 50% off!!

Sooo elf (eyes lips face) were having a 50% off sale last week so i decided to make a teenie weenie order...I will put the full price of each item but i got them half price :) you can buy elf products at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk only.
I got :

studio matte lip colour in Coral...

Such a lovely colour and applies to the lips so smoothly-£3.50

Studio tinted moisturiser SPF 20 in porcelain...

I really like this although its a bit misleading as you don't get a great amount of product but for £3.50 i cant complain. as i said, i got this in porcelain which is the lightest shade available but its just a tad too dark for my milky white skin tone (picture 2) but I'm sure if i apply it carefully and blend it in really well i can make it work.

Mineral blushes in Rose and Coral...

Left:Rose Right:Coral

Sorry i done the swatches picture back to front but the left one is Coral and right is Rose. I love the mineral blushes from elf, you get so much in the little pot and you need so little so they last a long time. Coral is a nice peachy pink colour and my favourite of the two. Rose is a dark pinky red... i didnt expect it to be so dark but i still like it. these are £3.50 each.

Beauty Encyclopedia in Everyday eyes...
This little set is £6 from the website
it contains: 12 powder eyshadows, 2 cream eyeshadows, a black eyeliner and an applicator.
First Row

Second row

third row

Cream eyeshadows (gold and bronze)

and the eyeliner (black)

Beauty Encyclopedia in Sparkle eyes...

same price as the other one £6 and contains the same exept the eyeliner is brown instead of black
First row

second row

Third row

Cream eyeshadows (pink and white)

eyeliner (brown)

The beauty encyclopedias are a bit powdery but with a primer they are great. I dont think i would be too pleased with them if i had paid the full £6 each for them but as i paid £3 each im pretty happy :)

False Lashes I have

Okay so i know i don't have as much lashes as most, but the ones i have i really like.

These ones, I bought from eBay for around £2-£3 (Bargain Right??). but i do have to say i wasn't that impressed with the the quality but then again there okay for the price. I am not a fan of the big thick ones at the bottom as the band is sooooo thick and stiff that its almost impossible to apply and when I eventually do manage to get them them on i actually feel like i have HUGE butterflies sitting on my eyelashes...Not comfortable at all. However the remaining 4 pairs are great, they look super nice and natural I Love them <3

The lashes didn't come with glue so i looked into different eyelash adhesives and found many fantastic reviews on the DUO lash glue so decided to get this from eBay as well. I bought this quite a while ago so i cant remember the exact price...it was around the £6 mark for a 7g tube. Its quite expensive but its great, keeps my lashes on all day with no lift at all at the sides. I would definitely recommend this!!

Moving on... These lashes are by far my favourite i have ever tried, i cant remember for the life of me what they are called but the packaging is like the union Jack , you can buy them at bodycare for only...wait for it... 99p!!...AMAZING!!. They are great to apply, practically weightless on the eyelid and so comfortable. They also come with a little free tube of glue which i was pleasantly surprised by...this stuff works great!! that great that i had the most difficult time trying to remove my lashes at the end of the day. Consider these lashes recommended :)
